Introducing CUPE Local 4747 Living Sky School Division#202

2 days of All Presidents meeting in Saskatoon. A lot of great information shared : from collaboration from other locals to heavy discussions on the Non Withstanding clause. CUPE Saskatchewan is keeping a close eye on things unravelling in Alberta. 

On the OH&S perspective, the message came loud and clear for our member to document, document, document! 

These meeting are valuable and full of different perspectives. 

The mayor of Saskatoon Cynthia Block was gracious and respectful. Our National President Mark Hancock was direct and fierce as always!

Hello CUPE 4747 members. 

I have had a few members reach out to ask where we are in the bargaining process. To answer this question – we met for 2 days at the end of September and had the interest based bargaining training, and have had a chance to give/ receive what our requests are and theirs. 

Due to calander conflicts with different people we do not go back to the table until the first week of November. Long story short there is nothing to report back on as we have not even started talking money or our “asks”. I know it’s a frustrating time waiting in limbo for information, and we feel it as well. Once we make some headway, we will be having a meeting to discuss things in more detail with you all. It is also imperative that you fill out the survey with your personal email address as we will not be communicating with the LSKY email especially on the negotiation topics. 

Thank you all for your patience and understanding. This is not a quick process.

1 is for communications & the other is for voting of the NEW logo!      If you cannot find the forms in your email please reach out to one of the executive.
